So this is a touchy subject. I have been told that my posts are really long… good, but long.  LOL!  Short n Sweet is not type of blog I run.  I do not play by the rules, that’s is OK.  I guess.  I reject ALL Blogging rules!  So there!  There are a few things about rules that I absolutely LOVE!  There are a few things about Human Rules that I have chosen to love from a distance (not for my life, thank you very much!  But for others, fabulous!)

So this topic came up when Tweets flooded in about how hubby and I might go about setting up boundaries in our open relationship; and indeed how to set up rules in ANY relationship. I had to give em the skinny.  But now I extend the thesis beyond 70 characters just for you!  (Crowd goes wild!!!)

So let us look at the difference and the similarity between Universal Law and Human Rules.

We will answer this question:  What is the purpose for Human Law/Rules?  What is Universal Law?

First we have to understand what a Universal Law is. Off the top of my head I can name 11 Universal Laws, how about you?  Add some to the comments if you can think of more without reading a book…

• Law of Attraction – What you focus on expands.  We attract who and what we are.
• Law of Time and Space – Time and Space is not real – we create this with our minds
• Law of Unity – essentially we are all one
• Law of Omniscience – We all have access to all knowingness.  We are knowers of all things
• Law of Physical Order – these include sub-laws like Gravity and Laws of Physics like Momentum
• Law of Justice – You get what you give
• Law of Choice – Human beings are endowed with choice, we are not bound to instinct
• Law of Belief – what you believe is what is so in your individual Universal order.
• Law of Imagination/Dreaming – what you visualize you can and MUST actualize
• Law of Physicality – Matter is Energy at it’s core and thus can be shifted yet will appear solid/fixed.
• Law of Duality - All things are dual in nature and must be balanced in Yin and Yang energy to exist.

So these are the ones that roll off the top of my head.  I told ya’ll I was a book nerd.  LOL!

Anyway,  so these are what we call Universal Laws.  They apply to every human being under the sun.  They cannot be usurped and they are not based on any religion, these are purely Quantum and Scientific Laws.  Of course these laws are debatable.  Feel free to leave your debate blurb in the comments section, you know I can talk Physics all day long!  I LOVE it!

So, let us look at relationships. If these Universal Laws are applied in relationships we have a simple outcome – UNITY!  A few examples:  Law of Omniscience – if we can all be knowers of anything, then we can easily intuit the solution to any relationship quandary.  There is no challenge we cannot solve.  Law of Duality – a relationship between man and woman makes a third unit – The PAIR – if we can balance Yin and Yang energy in that PAIR, then we can bring life to that PAIR.  Law of Attraction – we only attract what we focus on – thus relationships never really have to go bad when we focus our energy on making ig good.

I am really simplifying things here trying to be brief.  But you get the gist, yes?  Or shall I go on?  Law of Belief – what we believe intellectually will become our reality – so if we were to choose to believe in our relationship, believe that we can work it out with this person, we can achieve unity (of course, by then intuiting the solution to any quandary).

OK – this is fun! So these are Universal Principles that encompass and govern all of humanity.  These Universal Laws are actually all humans need to make any relationship work – mother/child – father/child – you/boss – you/lover – colleague-s  friends – us/nature – us/higher self – us/God; and so forth.

Now let us talk a moment about Human (Man Made) Law. These are laws created by human beings to govern towns, nations, municipalities, relationships and communities.  These are created by governments, religious institutions and individuals.  We have Man Made laws that govern our functioning from birth to death in this culture.  Great!  More specifically, and for the purpose of this article, we will discuss laws that govern our love relationships.

So we have created the institution of marriage.  This is an Umbrella of laws that guide us in matrimony here in this country where 60% of marriages fail.  LOL!  OK I will stop making jokes.  So the laws that govern matrimony are simple (not all included here because I do not know them all).  Respect and honor, till death do us part, one man, one woman, You will not share your body with others, I will not share my body with others… we can share insurance, we can share money, we can do our taxes as a unit, NO FIGHTING illegal – he will go to jail.  If none of this works for very long, we can resolve the contract with divorce and make lots of people rich in the meantime!  Very basic right?  Right!

So the Twitter question was, how do we add protocols to our relationships that make sense?  Or really, does it make sense to add protocols to our relationships?  Well, I had a simple answer to that:  Yes and no.

Protocols or Human Law / Man Made Rules (a better term) in my view, are for the purpose of TEACHING larger, Universal Laws to individuals who have not experienced them as REAL – thus do not know them.

Here is what I mean.  I in my view, human beings can not KNOW Universal Law without EXPERIENCING it.  Maybe we have thought about the fact that we can know all things (Law of Omniscience), for instance, but have never actualized this or utilized this Universal principle.  So we develop a protocol to TEACH human beings HOW to use Universal Principles.  Or to teach human beings WHY to use Universal principles.  Or to Teach human beings WHEN to apply Universal Principles.

This is really simple.  Universal Intelligence is speaking through me, so give me a moment to translate.  LOL!

Human rules were originally created by human beings to TEACH Universal Laws or to Demonstrate the Power of Universal Laws. How do I mean?  How do you mean, great spirit?

OK – so think of a child who does not know the Law of Attraction.  We may create rules for that child about his or her behavior.  You musn’t be rude, you must always say please and thank you , you must NEVER be a bad girl, you must always use your manners.  These are Human Rules.  Right?  The Universe does not require it.  But we would place these stipulations on a growing lad or lassie to demonstrate the outcome.  If you use your manners, you will go far in life i.e. – you will attract those who are agreeable and nice – LIKE YOU!  Fabulous!  (It does not have to be explained this way by parents, but believe me, this is the intent.)  If you are a good girl, you will end up in the right places and you will hang with the right crowd and you will not get into trouble – ie You will attract good situations!  LOL!

So it is logical, then, to place these stipulations on children so that they can clearly see the outcomes of good behavior.  Good behavior will attract good circumstances.  Law of Attraction for dat arse!

But eventually, that child will not need to apply this Man Made rule. That child will graduate from that protocol.  You know that momma said when we turn 18, we won’t have to follow these rules anymore, right?  Unless we want to, which we more than likely will if we have seen or EXPERIENCED the results.  Momma did not say that when we turn 18 we won’t have to apply the rule of gravity anymore.  However, she did apply a Man Made rule to teach us gravity – NO JUMPING ON THE BED – YOU’LL BREAK YOUR HEAD!  (Gravity, by the way, has been circumvented by many Avatars in days of old, we call them shape-shifters LOL!  Do you believe?  Jesus walked on water, right? – Say that to say that even Universal Law breaks down when we really get down to it!  Universal Law is in place to create AVATARS who can superseded them – like me!  LOL!)  Human law is supposed to create individuals who understand Universal Law.  In all there are three levels of development:

Students – Needing Human Law to Understand Universal Law

Master – Needing Universal Law to transcend Universal Law

Avatar - Having mastered Universal Law create Universes

Is that too much?  OK – let us not sway from the topic.  It is spirit, not me!  LOL!  I am laughing a lot!  Its my Mad Scientist Muse taking over!

To apply this same logic to relationships, we make rules of marriage to grow us into Masters.  But does everyone begin at the same place?  Do all couples need a general set of rules (that, by the way, do not seem to work?)  It would seem more logical to make rules of marriage on a case by case basis. It would make more sense to teach individuals how to apply Universal Law through Man Made Rules in marriage based on where these individuals are in their personal growth and development. Right or right?

Human Law is supposed to forward growth of that PAIR through the three stages I just mentioned.  A PAIR can go from student, to master to Avatar.  We soar together baby!  There was a time in Human History where couples would actually receive individual Man Made rules that would change as the marriage progressed.  These rules were assertained through the use of oracles, intuition and other forms of magi that might be considered JUJU today.  This type of practice is from way back in the day when ‘heathens’ ruled the Earth, those non-educated, non-religious pagans!…………  Really?

So currently, we do not make these rules on a case by case basis.  Currently we make Human Law or Man Made Rules on a collective basis.  So we must ALL honor and respect (whatever that means) till death do us part (that one is morosely clear) one man, one woman (ummmm, I think, but with 66% of married couples admitting to cheating in the USA alone, I dun know).  So these are rules that must be followed.  They are an Umbrella set of basics for the peons, opps, I mean the masses.

Great!  But is this basic set of generic rules the right regiment for every couple and does it work to teach Universal Principles?  Up for debate, I presume.

Are student becoming masters?  How would we know?  The stats speak volumes.  But let’s check it out!

One man, one woman.  I think this one is supposed to link up to the Law of Duality.  If this is so, which I hope it is, the rule of one man, one woman is in place to teach a couple that there must be a PAIR.  In this PAIR, there must be harmony.  The woman must be YIN and the man must represent YANG.  Or something like that – (don’t want to offend)

So if this is the case, the one man, one woman protocol is POIGNANTLY NECESSARY for students of the Law of Duality.  If we as individuals have not yet experienced that law (keyword is experience, human law provides a platform for us to experience Universal Law – without experience there is no knowing).  So this one is very important.  But what happens once we realize the law of duality by balancing Yin and Yang in our PAIR?  What next?  Do we stick to the lesson, stick to the protocol meant to teach a larger Universal Law that we have now mastered?  Or do we graduate from that Man Made protocol?  Hmmmmm.

The ancients would say that this is the point of initiation. We have been initiated into this understanding, and now we can discard that Human Rule.  We have mastered that underlying Universal Principle being born from the practice of this human rule.  This is why I counsel couples, even the ones who want an open relationship or an alternative relationship, that they must first follow this human rule – one man one woman – until they have mastered that Law of Duality. This may take a year, two years, ten years, forty years.  It may take a lifetime for some which explains why some are monogamous and some are just not!

Let us look at those who create cheating or adultery.  Are they doing so, subconsciously, because of a desperate longing to master the law of duality?  We create situations that will grow us – always and in all ways.  So maybe there is something to this.

The challenge of a cheating partner is going to help them to master the Law of Duality!  How?  When your man “steps out”, it causes tension in the relationship, resistance in the relationship.  Resistance is what man made rules are set up to provide.  With resistance ie. the force it takes to follow a human law, we grow beyond ourselves.  If we FORCE ourselves to follow the human law for long enough, we become masters of the Universal Principle.  If a man and woman who are struggling with adultery for long enough stay together and continue to work on to adhere to the Man Made Protocol, balancing the Yin and Yang, working out the issues, they will master the Law of Duality!  Which essentially states that Yin and Yang must co-exist.  One person can not force his way and the other can not be but so yielding.  This is becomes a dance of sorts, but the law is all together useful.  They may also master the Law of Omniscience (we can intuit the solution to all troubles) while they dance!

So are you with me?

Universal Law = Laws that are esoteric and Quantum applying to all human beings on the planet.

Human Law = Laws that are man made which were originally meant to teach Universal Principles

So let us apply this even further.

Let us say you are in a relationship.  The law of the land says protect and serve.  Now this is quite an ambiguous law.  But I think it is teaching the Universal Law of Unity.

When we realize that we are all ONE and that what we do to another we do to ourselves, we become masters of the Law of Unity.  So to state to a couple that they must protect and serve one another is simply to teach the fact that essentially, and at a basic energetic level, they are ONE – the two individuals make another whole unit – ONE PAIR.

When a couple masters this, they have also mastered a Universal Law.  So, eventually, the protect and serve one another will extend into something more.  The couple will then be free to not only protect and serve one another, but to protect and serve all of humanity.

The PAIR will serve all of humanity.  This is the expansion of that human law and indeed an entrance to The Law of Unity.

But they added one small caveat – till death do us part.  So couples are instructed to protect and serve one another until death do them part.  This is limiting.  Now you may debate me here and say, well, the law never did exclude the protection and service of all humanity.  But where in the wedding vow – lets be honest – do they say you will protect and serve… all of humanity?  No where indeed.  When do we take a vow to protect and serve anyone other than husband and wife!?  Let’s be frank here people, no jokes.  I mean, really.  When do we take that VOW?

Again, this is a limitation.  And it summarizes the limitation of Man Made law when we try to apply simply laws as blanket protocols for ALL couples.  There are those couples who have mastered the Law of Duality, or the Law of Attraction or the Law of Unity.  These couples would have the human laws to that effect, lifted at that point.  Human laws were never meant to replace Universal Laws, they are meant to TEACH Universal Laws.

Do you understand that?  Of course you do.

So let’s be more clear and complete this sexy little journey.

Let us say that you have made a personal rule in your own marriage.

Rule: When you come home, you must find the other partner in the house and kiss them.  Great!

This little rule is probably teaching the Law of Attraction or the Law of Justice.  Think about it…

You attract only who and what you are, so you are learning to be a loving person with rules in place that force you to be a loving person, even beyond your personality.  (BTW – we are on Earth to transcend our personality and ego!)

So if you actually do this for long enough – You may fail at it sometimes, and think about why you did not do it – and try again tomorrow and do it again and eventually you are on track with this and you feel the love you are attracting in return!  Great – you are mastering the Law of Attraction!

So now that you have it, who needs the man made law?  You have mastered the underlying Universal principal!  You realize that at your core, you too want love and acknowledgment and you have practice giving and receiving love and acknowledgment and now it is NATURAL for you!

You are a MASTER!

You can now drop the Human Law. The Human Law/Protocol was just a lesson – a crash course in using the Law of Attraction.  Or do you suggest that a couple keep this rule forever?  Would they, could they?  Why would they?  Yes they could, but pretty soon it would be second nature.  Right?  It was all a lesson.

I can do more of these examples in our comments together.  I know you have some juicy ones for me.  I can’t wait!

For now, let us end this on this note.  Human Laws are for students.  We are all students of life in some areas.  All of us are born with the knowing of various Universal Laws based on past travels.  All of us are here to Master more of the laws.  We are all headed for Mastery and indeed Avatar status.  This is what evolution IS.  Right?  But as we are all on different levels of evolution, we all need separate and varied rules to govern our relationships.  I think if this form of thinking were in place, more relationships would have a fighting chance.

PS - Here is another great example. Currently it is a man made law that one can not smoke in public.  In fact, there have been attempts to end smoking generally as it is ‘hazardous’ to health.  Well, my grandfather drinks Gin like it is water.  In fact, he tells us that it is water!  Everyone tries to get him to quit.  He says, what is wrong with water?

When he goes for his check ups, his liver is like that of a 22 year old man.  He has no health problems except eye cataract (blindness in one eye) Everyone, except me, is amazed.  He does not need human laws around his alcohol consummation because he has mastered the Law of Belief and the Law of Physicality.

What we believe is our personal Universal Truth.  He literally believes that Gin is water, thus it does not affect his Liver.

Physical things are pure energy – they may appear solid, but they are energy.  He shifts his physical matter to conform to his desired end result – great health in spite of anything he consumes!

I LOVE it!  LOL!

However, some may need a human law against drinking or smoking because their beliefs do not match their desired end result – they believe that smoking or drinking is harmful.  The human law will teach the Law of Choice.  They can choose to override their addictions by making new choices!  Fabulous!  Right?  But once they have, they can release that old rule and now CHOOSE to believe differently or CHOOSE to do something else – just for fun!

OK – I’m done.
