So yesterday I had a gut wrenching experience on Twitter. This boy was talking to me. He seemed drunk or something, maybe high. He and I always talk; he is a really cool cat from Chicago. He wants to know if the tour will stop in Chi town. I think it will! We’re looking at Monday August 3!
Either way, this boy, in his drunken stupor, twitted me a deeply eye-opening message. After addressing him as King, which is the way I address most men I come into contact with, he wrote me back addressing me as Queen FREAK!
QUEEN FREAK! WTF?
This pounded me to the floor of my soul. I felt the rip inside of me and immediately I was back in high school where FREAK was the worst word in the world. Ladies, do you feel me? I hated THAT word! I hated it with a passion. I probably hated it most when I was the subject of the conversation in which it was used which seemed unavoidable in my school. Every girl was at one point or another considered a FREAK. This Twitter boy was offering me the opportunity to grow past my teenage self! A real blissing in disguise…
My husband and I have been having this debate for a few days. It isn’t really a debate so much as a discussion about life and love… My husband has cared for me for over 13 years, meaning I have never had a “real” job; he bank rolled me as I built JujuMama LLC and wrote my first book, Change Your Man. I think that he feels proud of his accomplishments. I don’t get the impression that he feels used by me… You know? There has been a synergistic partnership… and it feels luscious. I think any man feels good to care for a woman the way he has for me.
So, I have a new friend who is very well “connected”. My husband feels as though this person should be giving more steadily to me. My old self shouts NOOOOO – I can’t expect more - I might be considered a Gold Digger! OMG! LOL! Funny that the man in my life, my husband, is like telling me that my boyfriend needs to do more to support me…
What do you think people? When a woman desires the partnership of a man – financially, especially – is she a gold Digger? What if she seeks only men who have the means to help her with her endeavors? Does that make her a gold digger?
OK – So what is the deal people? Can someone help me understand when we are going to get rid of this dated concept of manipulation. I mean, this one went out with corsets (well, corsets are sexy, except when they break your ribs). Let’s see, this one went out with ceramic shingles (well, those are sort of elegant). OK fine, this one went out with the concept of BLAME. Nothing pretty about blaming someone else for any part of your life right?
Same senselessness in choosing to believe in another dying paradigm – Manipulation. SO we’re gonna look at this because we have to. Men and women alike are afraid to be called a manipulator. Yet, we want to master the Law of Attraction, we want to become Creators of our lives. But, the two concepts do not fit together ~ manifestation and manipulation. Blame is the essence of manipulation. If someone is “manipulating” another or (heaven forbid) manipulating you, then you do not believe that you create your life. You in fact believe in the concept of blame… right?
No one is doing anything to us. We are creating everything for ourselves. AND, when we ladies put on that feminine energy and shine it into the world, we are not ‘doing anything’ to anyone, we are simply using our natural talent to manifest our desires quickly and easily! Feminine magnetism is MAGICAL!
How can we think that working magic in our lives to create what we desire can be a form of manipulation? Come now.
